After working with horses for many years I came to my senses and got a ‘proper job’. In 2007 I moved from Kent, via Essex, to County Durham in North East England: a great decision! I moved deeper into County Durham in late 2011. I now live in the market town of Crook, just a few miles east of Weardale.
Having procrastinated for several years, I finally got round to starting this blog in summer 2010. As you’ll see, I talk mainly about the local countryside and wildlife, my garden, clouds and foraging. I’ve also started writing a few more serious posts on issues I care about (not many though – I’m a bit lazy).
If you like what you read, please hit the subscribe button or leave a comment. It’s the only way I can tell you like what I write (and yes, I’m a little bit vain).
If you’re into Twitter, you can find me there – I’m @YasmineHamid. I’ve also joined Google+ where I’m +Yasmine Hamid
I’ve been out practicing with my dSLR camera and you can see the results on flickr. Mainly nature, landscape and equestrian shots: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yazz2/
Still wishing I could spend all my time in the great outdoors…
